The Summer 2008 Collection is out!

The Summer 2008 Collection is out. The collection is called "Visit hos excentriks dam" or "Visit at an excentric lady" after a painting of the Swedish surrealist Nils Von Dardel. Keyna was inspired by the absurd happening in the painting: A woman accepts a new lover/gentleman without minding the man who has hanged himself in the ceiling. The dead man is wearing black, red and white. The rest of the painting is characterized by its strong colours, the silhuets of the different elements in the paining and the knot on his neck. This picture reflects Keyna's prefered epoch designwise, the 1920s. The style of has become a standard element of Keynas expression

The collection's main colour is black with elements of beige and white as well as some key garments in deep, burnt red inspired by the picture. Keyna's collections aspires to stand up to the term prêt-à-porter couture and the requirements which that implies on material quality, first class handicraft and at the same time a commercial format.

Keyna has used delicate and comfortable silks, bamboo and cotton combined with extra thin lamb skin and feathers in details. She is also using some synthetic fabrics in this collection to create volum and structure.

Fabrics and other materials in this collection are made in Italy and France. Feathers and lamb skin, folders and drapery are used to create volum in the garments. Again, Keyna has focused on the details and combinations of thin and delicate fabrics with lamb skin.

The cut is feminine with a masculin touch, focusing on female forms. The thin and soft fabrics will follow the shape of the body. The belts, folders and drapery adds to this effect.
